Download the fontified template and buy your pen or order our fontified kit. The type of pen used is very important. You will need a fineliner pen, size 0.4 is the best but no bigger than 0.5. No ballpoint, felt tip or fountain pens.
In order to fill in the template you need to carefully read the template filling instructions below.
As seen below there are a few things to keep in mind before filling out the template
A. Do not go outside the boxes.
B. Do not touch the box, the marks at the side of the box are your text line.
C. Do not use a thick pen (such as a marker), push down heavily when writing or write too slowly (allowing the ink to seep into the paper). These all result in the letters being too thick, this causes problems with the font creating process and you may be asked to fill in a second template.
D. Do not write too small.
E. Do NOT use a biro / ballpoint pen!
F. Try to keep your letters simple, the simpler your font the better.
Please note that fully joined up writing is not advisable as it is not possible to connect all letters perfectly in a font.
Scan the template with no less than 300dpi, most file formats are accepted but please try to stick to png or gif and upload the file via the Get Started section of the website. You will then receive an invoice by email which can be paid by either card or paypal.
Once we have received payment we take your scan and turn each individual letter into vectorial images. Create your font, test each letter in different situations, then make adjustments to make your font as close to your original handwriting as possible.
Your font will be delivered within 2 - 4 working days, when your font is finished, it is emailed directly to you and is ready to use immediately!
